A No.MAGIC Rude Grey Heart Song Lyric Quote Music Print.1 Review(s) – “I’m the One” “Despactio (Remix)” “Wild Thoughts” “Feels” & “New Rules” 1 Review – “Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift 1 Review – “Too Good At Goodbyes” by Sam Smith Maybe this isn’t the worst song of the year but it’s certainly the most punchable.Īnd asking for someone’s permission, ignoring what they say and just doing what you want anyway: I’m sorry but that’s just rude.

So this song’s the story of a stupid, ineffectual dickwad fighting for something he doesn’t care about against a man who, as far as I can tell, is completely justified in his attitude and actions. The guy’s pathetic and his threats are impotent. He’s never going to do anything about his situation, he’s just going to keep doing the same shit over and over again while complaining about how it never works. He asks for the father’s permission multiple times in the song, making the same threat every time and then never proceeding to actually go through with anything. By the end of the song, there’s no way that his supposed threat could be anything but a complete lie. Not that any of that matters considering how the narrator’s threat to “marry her anyway” is complete crap. In short, the narrator is just a complete and utter prick why the hell should I be supposed to sympathize with him? He doesn’t actually care about his relationship at all he’s just trying to piss off some old guy for no true real reason. Also note how the narrator never actually mentions his girlfriend in the song at all expect to say how he’s going to take her from her father: my conclusion having to be that she’s therefore nothing more than a minute trophy to him. By calling it rude, the narrator is therefore showing that he has no sense of proportion (along with having an intensely limited vocabulary, a wonderful virtue for a best-selling songwriter). That act would be significantly more than just “rude”. The main problem with this song is located in it’s very title: a man is unfairly stopping the narrator from being with the love of his life and the harshest way the narrator has to describe this injustice is “rude”. When the father declines, he responds by going “Why you gotta be so rude” and saying that he’s just “going to marry her anyway”. The narrator keeps going up to his girlfriend’s father and asking him for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Here’s one of the ones I particularly disliked: Instead, I’ve organised the songs into a list and will review the ones I liked and disliked the most.

I decided that I was going to review every song to make it to No.
